What to do when you feel Rebellious (Hebrews 13:17 KJV) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that {is} unprofitable for you. (Proverbs 14:16-17 KJV) (16) A wise {man} feareth, and depart- eth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. (17) {He that is} soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. (1 Samuel 15:22-23 KJV) (22) And Samuel said, Hath the Lord {as great} delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey {is} better than sacrifice, {and} to hearken than the fat of rams. (23) For rebellion {is as} the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness {is as} iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from {being} king. (1 Peter 1:13-14 KJV) (13) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (14) As obedient children, not fashioning your- selves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: (Isaiah 1:19-20 KJV) (19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: (20) But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken {it}. (1 Peter 2:13-15 KJV) (13) Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; (14) Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. (15) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: (Philippians 2:5-8 KJV) (5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Hebrews 5:8 KJV) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obed- ience by the things which he suffered; (1 Peter 5:5-6 KJV) (5) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all {of you} be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. (6) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (Ephesians 5:21 KJV) Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (Proverbs 12:21 KJV) There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. (Romans 6:12-13 KJV) (12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. (13) Neither yield ye your members {as} instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members {as} instruments of righteousness unto God. (Ephesians 4:17-18 KJV) (17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gent- iles walk, in the vanity of their mind, (18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: (Ephesians 5:8 KJV) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now {are ye} light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (James 4:7 KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. |
